30 Minute Appointments Required For All Mental Health Care Plans

Please be aware that the ‘Standard appointment’ option during online bookings does not apply to mental health care plans.

Instead, a 30-minute appointment is required, so please select ”Mental Health Care Plan’‘ when booking online or call our friendly reception staff to make your appointment on (03) 9533 2800.

Please review the information within the appointment page before making your booking.

Appointments are available here on the Independent Doctors page via each available practitioner.

Alternatively, please phone our friendly reception staff on (03) 9533 2800.

Your first visit

Patients visiting our clinic for the first time will need to book a “long” consultation even if they have seen the doctor previously at a different clinic. A ‘Patient Details’ form can be downloaded here from our website to complete and bring with you, or you can arrive at the surgery 5 minutes early to fill it out before your consultation. Please bring any other relevant documents, X-rays or information regarding prescriptions as well.
If you are visiting One Point Medical for the first time regarding a mental health evaluation you will need to ring reception for information. Please do not book online.

Note our consultation fees increased up to 5% on the 1st of July 2025.

This adjustment is necessary due to rising operational costs across key areas such as:

  • Staff wages and superannuation
  • Medical supplies and equipment
  • Electricity, rent, and other operating expenses

The Medicare rebates also increased on the 1st of July 2025, which helps reduce the out-of-pocket cost for many services.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and ongoing support. This decision has been made by clinic management. Thank you for treating our team with kindness and respect.

Please Note: We Are Not Conducting COVID-19 Vaccinations At One Point Medical

If you are experiencing ANY of the following symptoms: cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, fever, shortness of breath please book a TeleHealth appointment and if possible, complete a Covid-19 test.

If your doctor is unavailable for TeleHealth please contact reception for alternative arrangements and notify us of your symptoms.

We currently ask that all patients attending the clinic wait in their car and call 9533 2800 to notify of arrival. We do this to protect both patients and staff and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

One Point Medical is NOT a Covid-19 vaccine provider but the nearest Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic can be searched here.

Now included in the government immunisation program, the Shingrix vaccination offers a layer of protection against shingles, as currently there is no cure.

Shingrix recommended as a two-dose (2 – 6 months apart) primary course for the following eligible groups:

  • Adults aged 65 and over
  • Immunocompromised adults 18 years and over
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults aged 50 years and over

Patients who have previously received Zostavax free under NIP cannot receive free Shingrix until at least 5 years after the Zostavax dose.

Patients who have previously received Zostavax privately are eligible to receive Shingrix free under NIP. An interval of at least 12 months is recommended between paid Zostavax and free Shingrix.

Unfortunately, the initial supply of Shingrix is very limited. More vaccines will be available in the coming months.

Immunocompromised patients would be prioritized for Shingrix injections.

Please call One Point Medical to speak with the practice nurse if you have any queries or view the website for more information regarding the shingles vaccine.
