Please Note: We Are Not Conducting COVID-19 Vaccinations At One Point Medical

If you are experiencing ANY of the following symptoms: cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, fever, shortness of breath please book a TeleHealth appointment and if possible, complete a Covid-19 test.

If your doctor is unavailable for TeleHealth please contact reception for alternative arrangements and notify us of your symptoms.

We currently ask that all patients attending the clinic wait in their car and call 9533 2800 to notify of arrival. We do this to protect both patients and staff and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

One Point Medical is NOT a Covid-19 vaccine provider but the nearest Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic can be searched here.

Now included in the government immunisation program, the Shingrix vaccination offers a layer of protection against shingles, as currently there is no cure.

Shingrix recommended as a two-dose (2 – 6 months apart) primary course for the following eligible groups:

  • Adults aged 65 and over
  • Immunocompromised adults 18 years and over
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults aged 50 years and over

Patients who have previously received Zostavax free under NIP cannot receive free Shingrix until at least 5 years after the Zostavax dose.

Patients who have previously received Zostavax privately are eligible to receive Shingrix free under NIP. An interval of at least 12 months is recommended between paid Zostavax and free Shingrix.

Unfortunately, the initial supply of Shingrix is very limited. More vaccines will be available in the coming months.

Immunocompromised patients would be prioritized for Shingrix injections.

Please call One Point Medical to speak with the practice nurse if you have any queries or view the website for more information regarding the shingles vaccine.

One Point Medical has once again achieved AGPAL accreditation.

Your first visit

Patients visiting our clinic for the first time will need to book a “long” consultation even if they have seen the doctor previously at a different clinic. A ‘Patient Details’ form can be downloaded here from our website to complete and bring with you, or you can arrive at the surgery 5 minutes early to fill it out before your consultation. Please bring any other relevant documents, X-rays or information regarding prescriptions as well.
If you are visiting One Point Medical for the first time regarding a mental health evaluation you will need to ring reception for information. Please do not book online.

Transferring your Records

If you wish to transfer you patient records to One Point Medical from another clinic you may download a Records Request form from our website and bring it with you, or arrive early at the surgery and we will supply one for you.

When you book please advise the receptionist whether you think you will need a short, standard or long consultation to help us keep on schedule.

  • If your doctor is behind schedule we will phone or SMS to let you know.
  • If you are going to be late please phone or email to let us know. We may need to reschedule your appointment depending on circumstances.
  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a consultation please let us know as soon as possible. Appointments cancelled with less than 4 hours notice will incur a fee.

On Arrival

We have two entrances. If using the main entrance please let a receptionist know that you have arrived. If using the disabled access entrance please ring the doorbell located next to the inside door and the nurse or receptionist will assist you.

All accounts are payable directly after your consultation. The receptionist will process your Medicare and VAC claims. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit cards and cash.

Home Visits

We have chosen ‘National Home Doctor Service’ for your after hours medical care. They are open from 4pm weekdays, 10am Saturday, all day Sunday and public holidays. Phone 137 425 or please visit the website.
